Silver Alert Issued for Missing Senior
Updated: Aug 8

UPDATE: FOUND DECEASED
Sal Caturano was located on August 5, 2023, in North Phoenix. Coroner's report is pending.
A Phoenix man has been the subject of a Silver Alert since July 26, 2023, around North Cave Creek Road and East Sweetwater Avenue. Salvatore “Sal” Caturano is 86 years old and suffers from heart problems. He was driving a beige 2002 Mitsubishi Lancer with Arizona plate BHZ1311.
Sal had a coupon for Kohl’s. He kissed his wife, Sally Caturano, goodbye and said he would be right back. At approximately 9:45 a.m., Sal left home to drive to Kohl’s at 19th Avenue and Bell Road. The surveillance camera showed he arrived at Kohl’s at 10:05 a.m. and left at about 10:35 a.m. Outside cameras did not catch where Sal parked.
Friends, neighbors, and Sal’s son have searched daily for him and are worried sick. Sal’s wife, Sally Caturano, has been calling the bank seeking information about Sal’s bank activity, and on July 29, 2023, she got an alert on a credit card charge the bank deemed suspicious.
Sal and his wife Sally have been married for 59 years, and she is desperate for his return.
Phoenix Police Department is investigating the disappearance and can be contacted by calling 602-534-2121.
