Patrick Kennedy Alford, 7, went missing on January 22, 2010, from Brooklyn, New York.
Patrick was last seen in the New York City borough of Brooklyn at approximately 9:00 p.m. Three weeks before his disappearance, Patrick had been placed in foster care in the Spring Development Complex, also known as Starrett City located in the 100 block of Vandalia Avenue.
Patrick had communicated with his foster mother that he planned to run away to his biological mother, Jennifer Rodriguez. Patrick then assisted his foster mother with household chores, took out the trash, and never returned.
His biological mother had lost custody of him for neglect, along with his four-year-old sister. She knew the address of his foster home and had threatened to kidnap him. Rodriguez was ordered to present her son at a hearing in family court, but she did not. She was jailed for contempt, then given a polygraph and released. She maintains her innocence to this day.
