MOST WANTED FUGITIVE
Daniel William Heirs, Jr., is a former law enforcement officer from Charleston, South Carolina, and wanted by the United States Federal Marshals. Heirs has evaded capture since 2005 and wanted for murder, criminal sexual conduct with a minor, and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.
Authorities say Heirs used his position in the law enforcement community to gain the trust of a single mother and her 10-year-old daughter who came forward and accused Heirs of molestation. He was suspended from the police force for molesting the child.
Dorchester County Sheriff's Office (SC), filed charges but Heirs failed to surrender on March 15, 2005. When his mother searched his residence, she found Ludimila Heirs deceased. The cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.
Heirs served as a police officer for 11 years and trained in martial arts. He is believed to be armed with a .40 caliber Glock pistol and may possess a bullet-proof vest.
Heirs was born December 2, 1972, and described as a white male, 6' 3" height, 220 lbs, with blue eyes and brown hair. He may be wearing a beard or goatee.
Heirs is considered armed and dangerous.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads directly to Heir's arrest. Anyone with information should email the U.S. Marshals office at firstname.lastname@example.org or call the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0102.
